The Association of Private Museums of Russia sends appeals to all constituent entities of the Russian Federation with a request for support of private museums located on their territory, namely, for assistance in providing them with airtime on local television and radio channels, publication of materials about private museums on official Internet resources, in print and electronic media.
The Information Policy Department of the Government of the Vologda Region has published a response to a letter sent to Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov on its official portal. Having learned about this, the editorial board of the Premier social and political newspaper prepared the material Museum Business, in which it looked at the state of affairs with the support of private museums from different angles.
Director of the Association of Private Museums of Russia Alexei Shaburov, Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Vologda Region Vladimir Osipovsky and the museum workers themselves expressed their opinion in the publication: Mikhail Stolyarov, founder of the Traditional Boats of the Belozersk Territory Museum, Victor Mishintsev, one of the owners of the Russian Life art museum, and Nadezhda Tokareva, co-founder of the Galinsky Sails Museum.
