On March 13, 2020, the employees and volunteers of the Military museum of the Karelian isthmus held a Commemorative ceremony in honor of the 80th anniversary of the end of the Soviet-Finnish war.
Candles were lit on the mass grave of Soviet soldiers in the Southern cemetery of the city of Vyborg, as well as on the mass grave of the fallen Finnish soldiers near the ruins of the Cathedral. The Soviet-Finnish (Winter) war of 1939-1940 that lasted 105 days and claimed the lives of 138,500 Soviet soldiers, commanders and political workers of the Red Army, as well as 26,000 Finnish soldiers and officers.
