The opening of the conference took place in the Botanical Garden of SPbSU. It was hosted by the Department of Museology of the Faculty of History. 120 participants from Russia, Kenya, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Belgium, Kazakhstan, and Belarus were present. There were five sections and a round table dedicated to literary museums. Immersion in the world of museums was complete! The range of topics ranged from conceptually broad to miniaturally applied. Interesting topics, interesting and very nice(!) people. There were three presentations from private museums, two of which were from the Goat Museum. Our museum piece – a goat-gusli (harp) – also came in handy here: The entire section sang a couple of verses of the museum’s signature song “Once upon a time there lived a little grey goat at the grandmother’s”. It was fun for everybody! Let’s keep in touch.
