The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, together with the Association of Private Museums of Russia and the Union of Russian Museums, has begun to form a register of non-state museums in order to create a single museum space for the country.
At present, monitoring is under way, following which criteria for entering the register will be developed and a strategic plan for the development of private museums will be proposed.
