In 1956, the K-55 was replaced by a new model K-175. At that time it was the first domestic motorbike with 175 cc engine.
K-175 was a huge step forward compared to the K-55 not only in the matter of technology, but also in terms of appearance.
The design of the motorbike of the new for the USSR class “175” was original. According to some estimates, it was a revolution in domestic motorbike construction.
The main pride of the factory was a brand new single-cylinder engine with a working volume of 173.7 cubic centimetres.
It produced 8 hp at 5200 rpm and accelerated the motorbike up to 80 km!
In the museum of retro machinery “Our Orekhovo” our guests are met by “Kovrovets INZ-K175” 1959 year of production in the original green colouring, preserving the spirit of its time!
