On September 2, at 12:00, an opening ceremony of the renovated monument to the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War will take place in Orekhovo village, Spassky district.
The monument, originally erected back in the 1970s, was neglected for many years, and the surrounding grounds were in a deplorable state.
But the Association of Private and People’s Museums of Russia, with the support of the locals of Orekhovo village and the administration of the Lakashinsky rural settlement, carried out the large-scale renovation and landscaping.
Several exhibitions, namely the Immortal Regiment of Valaam by the private traveling museum of I. The organizers consider the event a successful example of a public-private partnership. It aims to preserve the memory of those who had died fighting in the Great Patriotic War.
The Groundbreaking Ceremony of the new Orekhovo Museum and Educational Complex, which will house the World Calligraphy Museum, the Museum of Russian Gusli and Chinese Guqin, and other private museums, will take place on the same day.
