Mayak Radio station talked about unusual private museums in Russia

Mayak Radio station, in the Physics and Lyrics program they spoke at once about three museums that are members of the Association of Private Museums of Russia: the Lighthouse Service Museum (Fort Konstantin, Kronshtadt), the Soviet Childhood Museum (Sergiev Posad) and the History of Gingerbread Museum (Yaroslavl).

The program, which the museums founders Mikhail Borodavkin, Semyon Zhiltsov and Tatyana Gayevskaya took part in, was aired on May 19, 2020 at 13:00.

In a conversation with presenters Margarita Mitrofanova and Alexander Pushnoy, they talked about the history of the creation of museums, the most interesting exhibits, and how their life changed after March 17.

“We worked seven days a week for two years. For us, isolation is a pause that we use in order to do something new. That is, we do not waste time in vain. You need to look positively at everything. There are both negative and positive aspects in everything. You need to try to get the most out of everything. We look into the future with optimism,” Mikhail Borodavkin, founder of the Lighthouse Service Museum, shared with the presenters his view of the quarantine situation.
