“If private museums are not helped to attract public attention, 60 percent of them simply will not open after the quarantine has ended. They didn’t live very well before, but now they have completely lost their main source of funds: money for tickets and excursions. We want the state to help, if not financially, then at least informationally, to order the creation of documentaries, television stories, and reports on the private museums. This would give an incentive to many of them to return to work as soon as possible,” the Association of Private Museums of Russia director calls on the authorities to send at least some signal that would convince private museums that the state needs them and has not forgotten about them.
