Please welcome Tupolev Tu-16LL Flying Laboratory!

– This aircraft was built in Kazan back in 1956.

– Almost immediately after the production, the bomber was transferred to the Gromov Flight Research Institute and converted into a flying laboratory for testing.

– The plane participated in testing programs for the latest aircraft engines R-15, D-30, R-29, AL-21, and many others.

– In the 50s-60s the Tupolev Tu-16LL was piloted by the test pilot, famous Twice Hero of the Soviet Union, veteran of the Great Patriotic War Amet-Khan Sultan.
