Events at the Museum of World Calligraphy, 12+

We invite you to the Museum of World Calligraphy on 29th and 30th April 2023:

– On April 29, 2023 at 12:00 you are welcome to a lecture and musical programme by Sergey Klyuchnikov, the founder of the Balalaika Museum (Ulyanovsk).

Sergey will tell about the balalaika – the most Russian musical instrument – and the subtleties of balalaika production, as well as about his museum. For our guests Sergey will perform several musical parts based on old Ulyanovsk melodies dedicated to military duty and People’s festivals of Russia.

On the same day our guests will have an opportunity to meet Andrei Vosmerik, a talented musician from Ryazan. Andrey will talk about Russian psaltery and perform a musical programme on this unique instrument.

– On 30 April 2023 our museum will host master classes “Applied Calligraphy for Children and Adults”.

The master-classes will be conducted by Ekaterina Orfanova, calligrapher, designer, teacher of the National School of Calligraphy.

During the lecture and master-classes you will learn about the techniques and interesting methods of modern calligraphy, as well as have an opportunity to try your hand with an experienced teacher.

The master-classes will start at 11:00 and 14:00.
