Since 2014, the “Museum of the Tesovskaya Narrow-Gauge Railway” has been operating on the territory of the Novgorodsky municipal district of the Novgorod Region. The museum staff has done a lot of work to create a museum and tourist object on the narrow-gauge railway in the village of Tesovo-Netylsky. For more than 3 years, the fleet of rolling stock has been constantly replenished and is actively working to replenish and restore the collection, to conduct excursions that are available to all social groups of the population.
During the excursions, you can take a narrow-gauge train to the peat-producing area; there is an inspection of railway and peat-producing equipment. In the summertime, you can walk from the narrow-gauge railway to Tigoda Lake. An integral part of the tour is the guide’s narration about the history of narrow-gauge railway transport in our country and the history of the peat industry.
